Have you checked your Treestand Straps?
Something you should be doing every off-season is to check your treestand straps on stands that you leave up all year. Treestand straps will wear over time. They should last at least a few years at a time, but it’s important to check them every year because they are out in the elements going through rain, snow, heat, and cold temperatures.
The last thing you want is to jump in the stand in the fall and have your stand fall from under your feet. Be sure to wear a safety harness when checking your straps and inspect them thoroughly. Be on the lookout for any wear and tear and if you see anything that indicates a decent amount of wear and tear, replace your straps immediately.
