At the Ranch – Turkey: Hunting Ridges
There are so many different types of terrain you could find yourself turkey hunting in. One of them though is ridges, and there are a few things to be thinking about when hunting ridges. We find ridges to be a great late morning spot, as toms like to get to high ground later in the morning to sun themselves or areas where they can strut. When you setup on a ridge, it’s especially important to setup facing where the best chance of a turkey coming from is. If one comes from behind you, it could be in your lap without you even knowing.
