At the Ranch – Turkey: Midday Hunting

The most common time of day to hunt turkeys is right away in the morning. A lot of hunters think if they don’t bag their turkey right off the roost, they don’t have a chance anymore. In reality, midday hunting can actually be some of the best turkey hunting you could experience.

By mid-day, typically hens have separated from toms. If you can strike up a lone tom, or toms without hens, they can be very susceptible to calling and you can experience some awesome hunting. Midday hunting is definitely a great time of day to be hunting.
