There are two main ways to go about turkey hunting. And that’s with a blind or without a ground blind. In my personal preference, I enjoy hunting turkeys without a blind. If you’re going to hunt without a blind, you’ll want to consider these few things. Arguably the most important is having a big enough tree to sit against to conceal your movement. If there aren’t any big trees, look for any cover to sit behind. Turkeys have great eye sight and will pick you off if you’re movement isn’t concealed. Look for shaded areas to sit in as well, this will most definitely allow you to get away with more movement. Always try and face where you believe turkeys will come from. When you’re hunting without a blind, it allows you to be much more mobile and cover a lot of ground.
