Many deer hunters don’t start shooting their bow until right before season. I believe you should start your archery practice in the spring for a few different reasons. It gives you time to start developing a good routine ahead of summer when you should be shooting a lot. In the spring, I might not shoot that much, but I’m hyper focusing on my form, mental & physical strength. That way, when I start shooting a ton in the summer, I’ll already have a base built up and will be further along as an archer ahead of bow season in the fall.
