At the Ranch – Whitetail: How to Find More Sheds

There are a few simple tips that can help you find more sheds. The first being to walk extremely slow. The faster you walk, the more likely you are to walk past shed antlers without spotting them. Next, have a pair of binoculars with you. You can save a lot of time with binoculars, by glassing areas far away and when you think you’ve spotted a shed a ways away, instead of walking over there, you can use your binoculars to check instead. Lastly, if you find an area that has a ton of deer sign, don’t be afraid of walking it multiple times. If you walk it once and don’t find anything, that doesn’t mean sheds aren’t there. Some of my favorite spots, I’ll walk 3,4, or even 5 times in a given year.
