Black bear unafraid of hunters runs in terror from an even bigger bear looking for food

Natalie Krebs was pleasantly surprised by her first bear hunt in Saskatchewan, Canada. After being in the field for nearly a week with her cameras rolling, she realized the native black bears, “were curious, bold, and infinitely fascinating to watch.” She eagerly watched the bait barrels for days as a sow and her cubs took advantage of the free food. Then, on day 4, as a smaller male bear fled one of the bait sites, she realized there must be a bigger bear about. When the 6-foot bruiser finally emerged, Natalie knew it was time for her first shot to count. What she didn’t realize was that she was about to bag her first bear.
