If you’ve watched other videos, you know Eric has gotten to do a lot of unboxings and some actual field testing of Burris Optics and their solid products. In this video, we’re looking at Burris’ latest version of the XTR rifle scope series. It’s the Burris XTR Pro which is coming out of Greeley, Colorado, where it’s built. Burris has basically revamped their latest line, the XTR 3, and added illumination, a lot of great race features, and a really spectacular optical performance for the competitive role.

As you know, in a lot of the race situations you run into needing your data, you’re on the clock, how are you going to do it, the wristbands, the card caddies, etc… Burris went with a nice big, fat, and easy-to-read dial with white so that you can dry erase on it—so wet erase or dry erase.

Additionally, the Burris XTR Pro has an illuminated reticle and it’s red and green on board. So you roll it back to the eleven brightness settings, if you go past the 11th and you’ve got the ‘S’, you lead into it for about five seconds it will be red and then it will switch over to green. The XTR Pro has all of the same on/off settings, two daytime settings, six low light settings, and the bottom three settings are for real low light/night vision type performance.
