Fisherman films whale shark sucking all the fish out of a commercial net

Animals always find ways to adapt to the humans around them and here’s proof that the whale shark is no exception! While in Indonesia, a conversation group learned how the whale sharks know to congregate around the giant bagan (huge fishing nets) to eat the smaller fish that slip through the netting! Luckily, the local fishermen consider the whale sharks to be a sign of good luck so while they’re working to save their catch from the giants, they’re not about to go kill them to get rid of them.
