Former Navy SEAL turned rancher finds peaceful life with ‘Heroes and Horses’ charity

Micah Fink, a former member of Special Operations Command, First Class, and former SEAL team member joined the Armed Forces following his experiences on September 11, 2001. After rotating back from his tours of duty and years of military service, Fink could not deny the truth of his own experiences and others’: that combat changes you, in a way you must carry forever. In 2013, he founded the “Horses And Heroes” charity with his own money. The program is an outreach and rehabilitation program for veterans returning home from combat to learn ranching and horse-wrangling skills which will help them reintegrate into society.
