Sawfish are coveted game in the saltwater angling world because they fight capture with a fearsome tenacity. When Joshua Jorgenson hooked this monstrous 700 pound, 17 foot long beast, he had no idea what came next. After consulting the Florida Wildlife Commission for handling instructions and proper procedure, they were forced to retreat to shore with the sawfish still on the line to measure its length, weight, and to try and remove the hook without either fish or angler coming to harm, but as you will see, the massive sawfish had no intention of going without a fight.
