Crazy biker loses his chain at the start, never brakes, WINS race off of sheer momentum

Mountain bike downhills are poetry in motion but one mistake could put you in the hospital. When US mountain biker Aaron Gwin’s chain blew at the start of his downhill run, commentators were certain it would catch in his spokes or he wouldn’t be fast enough to make a competitive run. But Gwin attacked the obstacle fiercely, though unable to pedal and controlled his descent perfectly to gain speed where he could. When he crossed the finish to beat the winning time, everyone–including Gwin–promptly lost their minds.
