How well can a 130-lb English warbow penetrate steel plate armor?

At a medieval reenactment, with attendees wearing period garb and armor, archers and armorers got together to put one man’s steel plate to the test against the real deal: a 130-lb British longbow. From a distance of only a few meters, an archer drew up a 4 ounce solid ash arrow with a diamond-shaped arrowhead–perfect for punching through armor at a distance, and let loose. The resulting “SNAP!” gave Swedish armorer Albert Collins much reason to celebrate as his solid steel plate armor was barely even scratched by the incoming arrow. In fact, the arrow snapped in such a way, spectators had to search for several hours to find the broken arrowhead laying in the grass, yards from where it snapped off.
