David Hunter has been bowhunting and leading aspiring hunters on hunts of their own for many years, but even he didn’t expect to be so lucky as when he bagged this towering moose bull at almost point blank range. Over the course of the day, he and a couple he was showing the ropes to saw quite a few prospective targets, but had to wait for just the right moment to make their move. After being patient for a good while, a massive bull they had seen earlier lumbered out of the tree line and into a clearing right in front of them. David lined up his shot and hit the bull cleanly in through the haunch of his right front leg. The moose practically gave itself to him at that range.
