The range of whitetail vocalizations is truly remarkable. While the sound of a bleating doe is pretty common, a buck growl like the one below is not something you’ll hear every season. Apparently bucks are known to make this sound as they approach a doe who is near or already in estrous. Consider emulating this vocalization in either rut or pre-rut.
