Hunter finds entire herd of piebald deer, gets out video camera just in time
A lot of hunters might be stunned to come across one of these striking and odd-looking deer in the wild, but while they may appear to be beautiful animals, piebald whitetail or “calico” deer account for an ultra-rare 2% of the deer population and their brilliant and predominantly white coats are more indicative of potential birth defects rather than a purposeful mutation. Once the regulations were lifted, one man made a $13,000 sale of the hide and head of one of these elusive creature to Cabela’s. What would you do if you came across one of these rare breeds?
