Late into the season, these guys came across a pair of bucks locked in battle (literally). As is the case when two white tail bucks do this, one dies first. As we all know, the winner of the fight isn’t necessarily lucky. If they’re both still locked together the victor will still die from exhaustion while trying to free itself. These guys returned the next day and found one of the bucks still going at it. With the careful use of a drop cloth and a saw they were able to free the guy from his day long trap. The buck itself was certainly panicked and must have had some reserve energy left because the second it was free it nearly gored its rescuer.
