This video with some very excited ice fishermen is a little old (circa 2009) but their enthusiasm doesn’t age!
They can’t say enough good things about Milwaukee harbor on Lake Michigan. And what a perfect place it is to fish for brown trout and steel heads fish.
“My fish has gone airborne in the light thin ice, three times behind me, I got a boxed steel head, I saw him,” says one of the fisherman with much excitement in his voice.
The ice they were fishing on was 12 inches thick and was very solid.
Him and his buddy both have fish on the lines at the same time.
“As soon as we’re dropping down we’re hooking up!”
And they were ice fishing in their sweaters in February!
