In Bozeman, Montana coming across a Grizzly bear in the wild is more probability than possibility. With so many wildlife preserves and National Parks in the region, officials came up with a really novel program to teach people about the do’s and don’ts of encountering bears in their natural habitats. Adam, a 750-lb Grizzly, was raised in captivity and now assists wildlife officials in education programs about potential bear encounters. They have specifically trained Adam to “go through the motions” of a bear’s behavior during an attack, but he’s learned to pull his punches, in a sense, and simply demonstrates, rather than do any harm.
