Iowa man jumps into floodwaters to save drowning deer

Many Waterloo, Iowa residents currently have plenty to deal with thanks to heavy rainfall which has caused serious flooding from the Cedar River. But even their own lives already heavily affected by the flooding, a group of good Samaritans felt they had to act when they saw a young deer thrashing about in the flooded waters. One man threw on a life jacket, jumped into the water and tied a rope around the struggling deer so that residents on the dock above him could hoist the animal up.
