What is it about mosquito bites that make them itch so much?

Mosquitoes are the bane of nearly every thing living on land. We all hate them. Even if they didn’t spread disease and illness around the globe, we’d still hate them simply for causing such an annoying itch after they finishing drinking their fill from our bodies. But what is it that actually causes such an itchy feeling? Well, there’s a lot of chemicals in mosquito saliva that use when they’re biting us to help get out blood. Those chemicals react with our bodies desire to get rid of them to produces several histamines. It’s in their presence that we have a desire to scratch an itch which, in turn, only makes those bites worse.
