Nighthawk Custom debuted its Drop-In Trigger System (DTS) at SHOT Show 2020 – a true drop-in part that offers shooters a high-quality trigger job that can be installed in the time it takes to complete the routine cleaning of a 1911. The crisp, clean break of a quality trigger job installed right at home by any shooter with minimal gunsmithing experience.
An all-inclusive unit, the DTS replaces the existing hammer, hammer strut, sear, disconnector, and sear spring. The traditional three-legged sear spring is replaced with a single-leg grip safety spring, the only part of the system not built into the housing. The existing sear and hammer pins will be retained, but no other parts are necessary for installation. A steel housing secures all Fully Machined (FM Series™) stainless steel internal components. Precision CNC machined from premium-grade 416 stainless steel billets, each component of the DTS is designed to perform reliably round after round for an unmatched service life.
