There’s a swamp in Texas that’s got an alligator snapping turtle who’s owned that particular body of water for what people believe is around 150 years! Part of what makes living in that particular swamp now is that there’s a restaurant near it with a large deck that overlooks the water. All the wildlife that lives there know to go out when customers arrive as they always send their leftovers down below for them to eat. Typically, people come to see one alligator in particular gobble up their scraps but while they’re watching the gator, that’s when this particular turtle shows up to remind the gator who’s boss!
