Propper Range Bag Since 1967: Sootch00 Review

When it comes to range gear, it can make or break your range day. Range day is too important and ammunition is too expensive, so today we’re going to take a look at the Propper Range Bag. Now Propper has been around since 1967, so over 50 years they’ve been making really quality gear and this is a really nice bag. There’s some pretty cool features to it that I’ve never seen and it’s just solid. Right now it is full and it’s heavy, but it can handle it.

Since 1967 Propper has been making not only bags and packs, but also clothes. In fact, they’ve had contracts for over 120 million pieces to the U.S. military. I’ve never heard of Propper, but this is really a great bag and we’re gonna take a look at all the features. T

Now the range bag comes in the OD green and it also comes in black. It’s got a really good feel to it, I mean it’s comfortable and yet it feels really sturdy. It does have padding throughout which just gives it this shape. A lot of times range bags get kind of floppy, but this one stays in that rectangular shape. It’s 15 inches in length, 10 inches in width, and it’s nine inches high. The material is polyester. I don’t know the denier, but I would say that it’s probably 1000 denier, and it’s got a good feel to it. It does have a grip handle right here that has Velcro that holds it together. A lot of bags are like that, and I like it kind of keeps this together and yet I can open it up. It also does have a padded strap shoulder strap that is removable.

We’ve had this Propper Range Bag now for probably about three months and we’ve been taking it to the range, checking it out, and just getting a good feel for it. I really like this bag. I like the size, I like the materials used, and I especially like the features – especially the little mat that comes out. This bag really is just a great way to put your stuff together with a lot of organizational spaces included and a lot of potential to set it up in different ways because of the Velcro fields.

If I was to give this range bag any kind of con, it would possibly be the metal rings because you might be a little concerned. Honestly other than that I don’t really think there’s anything else I don’t like about this bag. The zippers aren’t necessarily marked, but I feel like they’re YKK because they seem to work pretty well.

The Propper Range Bag typically runs about $50 give or take according to where you find it. But it’s a really solid bag and there’s a lot of great features to it. We’ve been using this now again for a few months and we’ve been taking it to the range every time and I’ll tell you, it really holds up well. I love the features. I love the mat where you can pull it out and a lot of other things about it. Again, we really appreciate GetZone for putting this together.

Thanks to Getzone and Propper.
