The bobbit worm is an aquatic predator that hides on the ocean floor exposing nothing more than it’s five antennae. When it senses prey, the worm attacks with incredible speed often slicing its meal in half with sharp jaws. These worms can grow up to 10 feet in length and surprisingly little is known about their lifespan, reproductive cycle, and lair. This diver recorded the capture of one massive worm. Look closely and you can actually see the bobbit worm enter the trap around 30 seconds into the video.
