‘Slop Buster’ lure will land you fat bowfin every single time

Using a popper fly of his own design, Joe caught his first bowfin in a pond full of duckweed and thick algae. Called the “Slop Buster”, it’s a small weedless fly that will cut through ponds with a heavy film, or skip undeterred through lake waters with heavy cover, without picking up any of the “slop”. Using a worm hook, rabbit strip, bucktail, and tightly sealed popper head, you can make one of these handy flies for yourself and be snaring in bowfin, snakehead, and even bass of your own in no time at all.
