The gentleman at Primitive Technology has built quite a following with his skills for making workable tools from nothing but what he finds in the wild and using the techniques many people in less affluent parts of the world my employ every day to survive. His latest creation is a hand-built forge made from nothing but clay, wood, and some rope. He built a blower for the forge out of a clay vessel and four-way wooden paddle. The way it works is effortlessly simple, and if you hadn’t watched him build yourself, you would probably not believe someone could make all this by hand.
