The danger of barrel obstructions illustrated by the Bugs Bunny “carrot in the shotgun” gag

Matt from Demolition Ranch uses the old Bugs Bunny “carrot in the shotgun” gag to illustrate the danger of firing a weapon with an obstructed barrel. Unless your last name is Fudd, the chances of finding a carrot in your bore are pretty slim, but a negligent shooter could easily end up with some other barrel obstruction. It turns out the old cartoons weren’t too far off. The buck shot may not fly back at your face, but that barrel sure will split apart. Always check your weapon, and never put your muzzle in the dirt.

DON’T try this at home. Matt is a gun enthusiast/veterinarian who has made a side career testing dangerous weapon malfunctions in a controlled environment.
