Tippmann Arms M4-22 Micro Elite Pistol Sootch00 Review

Tippman Arms M4-22 Elite Micro Pistol! This is, in my opinion, the best 22 LR AR on the market. Bringing in the Full Auto Version made this a blast! Big thanks to Robbie at Wheaton Arms for helping out! https://wheatonarms.com/

We really appreciate Nate at Gun Pro Deals for is help bring this all together! https://www.gunprodeals.com/
This was one of the most fun reviews I’ve done in a long time! Hope you enjoy.

Tippmann Arms out of Fort Wayne, Indiana, makes a high quality 22 long rifle AR. This is a dedicated AR-15 type rifle. You can change out your trigger controls and a lot of the parts that are AR-15 spec.

The M4-22 has an mlock aluminum hand-guard, an all steel barrel, and is overall very well built. The gun is very reliable and even after putting a lot of rounds through it, it is still in great condition.

Something about the AR-15 in the pistol size is just so compact and handy. With the Tippmann 22, you have a 7 inch barrel which really makes it a compact little package. Being all metal, the 22 has no polymer housing or pop metal – it is just a very quality piece.

The Tippman 22 comes with a twenty-five round magazine but they also make a fifteen round and a ten round magazine if that is what you are looking for. The magazine looks like a standard AR-15 magazine.

All throughout the M4-22 are similarities to the standard AR-15. You have a dust cover that locks into place, magazine release right underneath that, and your forward assist right underneath the scope. The shell deflector is to the left of the dust cover to protect the shooter for stray rounds when they eject from the gun after firing.  On the other side of the gun you have a standard safety lever that does go to full auto. After the last round is fired, the bolt will hold open until you hit the bolt release.

The Tippmann Arms M4-22 has flip up sights for both the front and back of the barrel. The sights are easily adjustable and really great for the M4-22. The pica-tinny rail runs on top of the mlock aluminum hand-guard in between the two sights.  The barrel is 4150 solid steel with the thread at the end to allow for muzzle breaks or compensators. The M4-22 comes with a Tippmann Arms grip but can be changed out for any grip that will fit a standard AR. The adjustable brace is the T5 brace from Tippmann. The standard buffer tube attaches the brace with the ambidextrous slide plate which can be used for slings.

The gun breaks down like a regular AR-15 however, the M4-22 has a smaller nickel bolt which is different from most standard AR. The sliding handle is also different because it is much smaller and does not require as much movement as a normal sliding handle.

The trigger has a nice crisp break with no grit or anything.  The trigger pull weight is right around 4lbs 5 oz. After taking it to the range and putting all types of ammo through it, we were surprised at how reliable the M4-22 was. The gun just feels like an AR-15. The controls are rights, the metal housings, and the upper and lower receiver just give it that excellent feel.

After taking out both the semi-automatic and the automatic versions, the semi automatic is a great firearm and the automatic is just something else.  After firing it will put a smile on your face.

At both the 50 yard and the 100 yard range, we couldn’t miss the target. We were hitting it every time with ease.

The Tippmann Arms M4-22 AR-15 style rifle is above everything else on the market. Compared to both the Colt and Smith and Wesson, the Tippmann Arms version is the closest to the AR-15. The price runs a little steeper than the rest, but for the features that you are getting, the Tippmann Arms M4-22 is a great little pistol and well worth it.
