Demonstrating the danger of a swarm, he does the unthinkable to a fire ant hill

Coyote Peterson has previously tested the strength of Harvester Ant bites by sticking his hands over a mound. Needless to say, it hurt quite a bit! While filming in Florida for something else he kept coming across fire ant mounds everywhere. To illustrate just how effectively these ants deal with a threat, he places his hands on the mound and tries to hold them there for one minute. He barely makes it 40 seconds before the pain is unbearable.
