Surprised by a suspicious individual in his building after work hours, the student confronts the suspect with clear verbal commands, recognizes his dangerous proximity and retreats back through the door into his office to buy time and create distance while he tests for compliance to his verbal commands. When the suspect does not stop, the student presents his weapon and renews his commands.
