These guys are buckling in for an incredible day long battle versus what would turn out to be a 1,000 pound hammerhead shark! They head out from Boca Grande, Florida and grab some rays to use as bait. What’s interesting is how he hooks the ray knowing that sharks will approach their prey from behind. Once the hammerhead is hooked, the fight is on! Both of these guys have to trade the rod several times to rest and recuperate. However, once they get this sucker to surface just check out how big it is! They wind up measuring it at 13 feet and 9 inches which is just 7 inches shy of the world record!
