Check out the mother of all at home garage builds. This incredible amphibious car boat was built mostly from a donor Chevy truck. The running components are Chevy CK 1500 4×4 parts. While the majority of it is aluminium at the moment, there are plans in place to swap out major areas and parts with all fiberglass/foam construction to help with the craft’s buoyancy. The rear wheels can help steer the craft in the water while the brakes are inboard so they stay dry. With the way the hydraulics are set up, you can even rest the car body on dry land and replace all 4 tires without a jack or stand.
