The crew of River Monsters went looking for something truly terrifying and that’s exactly what they found. This is the Goliath Tigerfish. It’s basically Africa’s version of the piranha except it’s far, far more terrifying. It’s not only much bigger (the one they catch here is 80 pounds) but it’s got more than just the tiny teeth the piranha have. It’s got a double-hinged jaw full of the type of teeth you’d find in a crocodile! What’s even more terrifying is that you’d never see this thing coming for you. It lives solely in murky waters so it could be a few feet in front of you and you’d never know it!
