Elk are not animals to be trifled with lightly: they’re strong, they’re clever, and they’re mean when they’re angry. When one curious bull answers his call, he creeps up just a little too close for comfort. The hunter startles the great big beast with a gentle “whoa” and politely asks the elk to move on. You can see the realization on the bull’s face when the hunter finally speaks up. Both man and creature are really lucky no one got hurt.
