Buck battles are more than just a clash of antlers, sometimes they can end with the death of one or both participants. As a pair of bucks clash, their antlers can frequently become entwined resulting in a lock that cannot be broken by the bucks alone. Many hunters have seen and filmed themselves freeing a pair of locked bucks, or a live buck trapped in the antlers of his fallen opponent. The hunter filming this video fears that may be the case as the battle comes to an end. After nearly 3 minutes of fighting, much of which was grappling on the ground, the two bucks finally separate and the loser high-tails it.
