You won’t believe who ends up winning when lions challenge hyenas for their meal!

Some visitors to the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa caught footage of this pride of lions that followed their noses to a fresh buffalo kill already well known to a pack (or cackle) of hyenas ready to dine. The lions encroach and at first glance have no trouble driving the hyenas away but they don’t back down so easily. While lions are imposing, hyenas are nothing to sneeze at. They’re fierce and vicious animals that can bite through bone and they travel is typically larger packs. Watch as these predators face off to see who gets dinner!
