Many can’t tell you where Benghazi is on a map but the mention of the name Benghazi stirs emotion in red-blooded Americans. I won’t retell the story — I recommend you read the book “13 hours” — it’s the real version of what happened not the BS story the last administration spun to cover up what really happened. American’s lost their lives during the attack and many more would have if not for the selfless and heroic actions of some real warriors.

Kahr Firearms Group is doing its part to support our veterans and the memory of the men who fought and died on September 11, 2012, in Benghazi Libya. Kahr Firearms Group along with John “TIG” Tiegen, member of the Benghazi Annex Security team, hero of the Benghazi attack and co-author of the book “13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi”, developed a collaboration project to help support veteran foundations across the country.
In staying with the “13 Hours” theme, the project offers 13 Special Edition Magnum Research .50AE Desert Eagle’s featuring the Kryptek Typhon pattern, and engravings of the TIG logo, TIG’s signature and the Beyond the Battlefield logo – the foundation TIG and his wife Margaret recently founded. “It’s awesome to be working with Kahr Firearms Group to provide this special edition Desert Eagle to 13 different organizations. For me, it’s an honor to be in a position where I can help other veteran foundations raise awareness and money for the many different causes they represent”, stated John “TIG” Tiegen.
Charity Desert Eagle #7 of 13 is benefitting the Tyrone Snowden Woods Wresting Foundation (TSWWF). Tyrone “Rone” Woods, a former Navy SEAL, was on his last trip with the GRS in Benghazi when he was killed in action, leaving behind his 3 children.
TSWWF was created in 2015 to maintain Tyrone’s heroic legacy and to provide financial support for middle school and high school wrestling programs and wrestlers on a national level. The values he acquired on the mat were an integral part of his Navy SEAL ethos, his 20-year SEAL career and influenced him to become the man he was. He never quit and even though he perished doing what was right, his heroic actions the night of September 11 and morning of September 12 helped save the lives of 30 other people.
To honor him and his legacy of valor, TSWWF recognizes his “never quit” attitude, determination, inspiration, grit, and loyalty. With the presentation of the annual Tyrone S. Woods Memorial Trophy and $1,000.00 scholarship at the OSAA wrestling championships, they encourage and mentor academic excellence, community service, and an exemplary code of ethics for success both on and off the mat. TSWWF also provides financial assistance for shoes, mats, pay-to-play fees, and travel expenses to meets so that, like “Rone”, these young athletes can be a part of a team and experience the great sport of wrestling.
Desert Eagle #7 has been donated to the Tyrone S. Woods Wrestling Foundation in memory of Tyrone Woods, who perished in Benghazi, Libya, on September 12, 2012, while defending the US diplomatic mission and CIA Annex.
